ROCKY MOUNT FIRE MUSEUM

The original No.2 Rocky Mount Station is home to over 100 years of Rocky Mount Fire Department history. The museum houses a wooden fire main, old photographs of firefighters, the City’s first fire alarm system, and other mementos. A main display is a horse-drawn steam engine built in 1878 and used in Rocky Mount from 1896-1922. The museum is open Monday-Friday, 9am-5pm.
